Cloud Security Architect/Engineer, GCP

We are looking for an GCP Cloud Security Architect/Engineer. This role will help secure all of cloud provided SaaS services and infrastructure. The person in this role is critical in working with the R&D team, Cloud Ops, and Dev Ops to reduce risk and to “shift left” our architecture so it is more secure by design.

Basic Qualifications and

A successful candidate for this position will have the ability to think outside the box and work on complex problems that span many different information security domains. They will be able to be self-motivated and comfortable working in a very high paced and evolving environment. This pace will require them to understand what problems will be real continues issued and which will evolve out the system to prioritize work.

  • Develop secure, resilient enterprise-grade public cloud patterns and processes in tandem with architects and system engineers that meet organization policy and standards. Examples may include security preventative/detective/auto-remediation controls, logging/monitoring/alerting, and IAM role and policy governance
  • Develop Infrastructure as Code for platform security capabilities and services using Terraform, GCP native services such as Lambda, Kubernetes native deployments, and Docker for the entire lifecycle of application and infrastructure
  • Actively monitor, assess and recommend tactical and strategic initiatives based on new and emerging threats posing risk to our public cloud computing environments
  • Stay apprised of current and proposed security changes impacting regulatory, privacy and security industry best practices
  • Manage remediation efforts after security assessment findings outline weaknesses requiring attention

Required Skills and Experience
  • Knowledge of API Integrations.
  • Cloud-native architectures, AWS, VPC, Security Groups, IAM, KMS, S3 Encryption, RDS Encryption, HTTPS, SSL Certificates, CloudFormation, CloudFlare, CloudFront, API Gateway, Lambda, Egress proxies, application security, domain segmentation, authentication, data protection, and automation of processes
  • Demonstrated ability to build and execute complex security plans in GCP Cloud
  • Experience working with compliance and regulatory requirements in GCP Cloud
  • Experience working in a risk-based environment including mitigation, planning and implementation in GCP Cloud
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills including the ability to simplify key messages, present compelling stories and promote technical and personal credibility with internal and external executives, and both technical and non-technical audiences
